The Fender Custom Shop Limited 1967 Stratocaster Heavy Relic recreates the transition era of the late 1960s Stratocaster — a period when instruments were often heavily modified and played relentlessly by working musicians. The alder body is aged to simulate decades of honest road use, and the custom wound large headstock pickups capture the slightly darker, fuller tone associated with the late-CBS-era instruments that Jimi Hendrix favoured. The large CBS headstock, bullet truss rod adjustment, and three-bolt neck plate are all accurately reproduced.
