The Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 1958 Reissue faithfully recreates the very first year of ES-335 production — the guitar that B.B. King, Alvin Lee, and Larry Carlton made famous. Every detail is sourced from Gibson's original 1958 examples, including the PAF-spec Custombuckers with Alnico II magnets, the long pickguard, the unbound rosewood fingerboard with single-ply headstock veneer, and the hand-sprayed nitrocellulose lacquer in the original Vintage Natural finish. The stop bar tailpiece and ABR-1 bridge recreate the original's intonation and sustain characteristics precisely.
