The Ernie Ball Music Man JP15 7-String is John Petrucci's signature 7-string guitar developed in close collaboration with Ernie Ball Music Man's luthiers over several years of touring and recording use. The chambered basswood body provides excellent resonance with a playing weight below 3.5kg, and the figured maple top adds visual beauty and tonal brightness. The Petrucci-designed DiMarzio Dreamcatcher and Illuminator 7-string pickups were voiced specifically for this guitar, delivering the tight, defined, harmonically rich tones required for Dream Theater's complex compositions.
